Panel #1: "Develop a Next Generation Cyber Resilient Mobile Digital Infrastructure"

Moderator: Dr. Abhimanyu Gosain, Senior Director Institute for Wireless Internet of Things, College of Engineering, Northeastern University
Panelists: TBA

Abstract:

What benefits arise from adopting an open and interoperable RAN architecture for Resilience in 6G? How will O-RAN principles be integrated into the development of 6G networks?
What are the primary security challenges anticipated in 6G networks, and what strategies can be implemented to mitigate these risks? Can you expand on Physical layer security for 6G ? Can you discuss Cross-layer security solutions and 5G/6G security (e.g. false base station attacks, sidelink security, integration of new services)
Which key areas will require new considerations and solutions to build a resilient architecture for 6G? How do you envision the RAN architecture evolving to support the advanced capabilities of 6G? How does NTN, AI/ML and ISAC play a role in ubiquitous connectivity?

Panel #2: "Challenges and Opportunities of NTN networks deployments"

Moderator: Dr. Maria Guta, Satellite Telecommunications Engineer, European Space Agency
Panelists: TBA

Abstract:

The incorporation of Non Terrestrial Networks (NTN) into 5G and upcoming 6G communication infrastructures has become important signified by the inclusion of NTN in 3GPP standards ecosystem and the track gained by some recent proprietary satellite Direct to Smartphone solution offerings. The presentation proposes to bring and share most recent results regarding NTN system and technology advancements towards 3GPP NTN standardized solutions, towards 6G TN and NTN unification, discussing challenges and opportunities in the design, development and deployment of integrated TN/NTN systems.
