A few notes on ticketing
If you stay in Munich, you have basically three options to buy tickets to get to the University:
1. A one-day-ticket for "Muenchen Innenraum", which is valid for all over Munich (white zone) (but not all suburbs) and valid to get to the university. The ticket needs to be validated after buying it and is valid until the next day 4 a.m.
2. A one-trip-ticket, valid for one way to Neubiberg. It needs say "1 Zone".
3. A multi-ticket, so called "Streifenkarte". It has ten "stripes". For a one-way trip from / to Munich to / from Neubiberg, you need to validate 2 stripes.
Getting from the Airport to the city is more expensive. We strongly recommend to use public transport and buy a day ticket "Tageskarte Gesamtnetz" for approx. 12 Euro. A taxi ride is approx. 60 Euro and depending of the time of arrival not faster. To all hotels on our recommendation list, you'll prefer the S8 over the S1, because it is quicker. Only for the Mercure Hotel, you'll need to change at Munich East (Ostbahnhof) to the underground. All other hotels are conviniently located close to a train stop.
Train station Neuperlach Süd
The university is easily accessible from the suburban and underground train station at "Neuperlach Sued" (trains: U5 to Neuperlach Sued, S7 to Neuperlach Sued - direction to Aying or Hoehenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn). From there it is a 5 minute bus ride (busses 217 to Campeon or 218 to Unterhaching) to the campus entrance. The stop's name is "Lilienthalstrasse". It is the second stop. You might ask the driver to assist you, some of them actually speak German, a few English - and again some of them a really helpful. There is a bus every 10 minutes and no need to hurry, if you arrive by train, because the bus will leave just before the train arrives. Although, on your way back to the city be aware that the underground will leave 1-2 minutes after the bus arrived.

Traveling by car
The easiest way is to follow the signs to the Autobahn A8 to Salzburg and leave it at the exit "Neubiberg Sued". From there, traffic signs will guide you the remaining kilometre.

Traveling by Taxi
Almost all taxi drivers accept credit cards but it's safer to ask before entering the car.
The taxi fare is based on meter system of distance plus lower rates for waiting times. (I added a list of prices that should give you an overview what to expect.)

Navigating at UniBw Munich
ICCCN 2012 will be held at the campus of University der Bundeswehr München between July 30 and August 2, 2012.
A map of the campus can be found at Google Map and on the website of the university. There is also a campus map in PDF. [campus_map.pdf]
Please don't forget to bring your passport. You won't be allowed to entry the university otherwise.
The university can be reached by public transport via suburban and local train station Neuperlach Sued and a 7 min bus ride.
Early Bird registration
Reg desk opens on Sunday, July 29, 4-6pm at the conference location; Entrance only via main gate.
Entry procedure during conference / workshops
From monday to thursday three gates will be open in the morning (please prefer entrance depicted blue in the [campus_map.pdf]). Later on only the main gate will be available for entry.
Welcome Reception and Banquett
The ICCCN 2012 welcome reception will be held at the historic old town hall of Munchen in the evening of July 31, 2012.
The Banquett will take place at the Augustiner Keller in the evening of August 1, 2012.
