ICCCN 2009 – Track on Optical Networking (ON)
Optical networking technologies have been advanced in this decade. Traffic and user demands continue to drastically increase, while they are difficult to predict precisely. Optical networking technologies are required to support high-speed, cost-effective, flexible, scalable, reliable and robust communication networks also offering a new scenario to crossly interact with upper layers to provide such network features. They have also great potentials to create new applications and services. The aim of this track is to provide a forum for researchers and engineers from both academia and industry to present and discuss current issues and ideas related to optical networking. The technical program of this track will consist of regular papers and posters. We solicit original and unpublished research in all aspects optical networks.
